You've Got The Touch! Leadership Begins In The Now

In most cases, people who are drawn to the Transformers series are usually leaders at heart whether they realize it or not. Leadership doesn't always have to be viewed from an authoritative perspective or a dominant role in an organization. Leadership begins in the very subtle ways that each of us shows up in everyday life.

Someone is always watching or following you and looking to your leadership even if you aren't aware of it.When I reflect on the Autobots, even though Optimus Prime was the primary leader, I considered all of them to be leaders in their respected areas of service.

Each one of them had a specific role that was paramount to the overall success of the team. Even the Autobot with the simplest of tasks was able to be an effective leader and lead his operation to completion even though they didn't see themselves as leaders. Again, most people don't realize that they have the ability to lead in small and/or huge ways.

The recording artist Stan Bush wrote and performed a song called Touch for the 1985 Transformers Movie soundtrack. He spoke of having the touch and having the power within to transform the external. Every person has this quality and can utilize it effectively in every area of life on a daily basis when applied correctly.

Even Starscream the Decepticon had the ability and qualities to be a great leader. However, because he didn't know how to submit properly to his current leader, desiring to compete, along with having a bad attitude about most things, he could not reach his greater potential. Again, everyone has leadership abilities to some extent, but how we show up in everyday life will say a lot about whether we can effectively lead others.

When Hotrod emerged into Rodimus Prime after the death of Prime, he and a few others would have never thought (accept Kup of course) that  Hotrod had the touch to become the next leader of the Autobots. Even though another (Ultra Magnus) who seemed to be more qualified was selected, Rodimus had the touch.  Click Here to see Arise Rodimus.

As mentioned earlier, most who like the transformers typically are leaders at heart or desire to be an influence of some sort. Again, even if you don't see that about yourself, just know that you've got the Touch. So don't be afraid to step forward and lead from where you are. Take small steps to lead even if it is just with your family. Use the power of your leadership touch to create change. You are a change agent and the time is now to use the present moment to begin developing and/or up-leveling your leadership capabilities.
